Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Johnson brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across the telecommunications, banking, and public sectors, including 18 years at the executive level. As COO, he will oversee the Commission's operations and support the delivery of its strategic and regulatory objectives.
He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Paradise Games Ltd., a leading domestic gaming operator in The Bahamas. He has led that country's Ministry of Finance serving in the role of Financial Secretary where he contributed to fiscal reform efforts and ease-of- doing-business initiatives. His private sector career includes senior executive roles in Belize Telemedia Ltd. and the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC). He has also worked as a Sr. Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of The Bahamas, providing guidance on reform efforts related to the modernization of payment systems in the country.
Mr. Johnson holds a Master of Public Administration from Dalhousie University, and Bachelors Degree in Economics and Political Science from Acadia University. He has received several professional distinctions, including co-chairing The Bahamas' Economic Recovery Committee.
